Vietnam , Cambodia: Tour accents Mekong River Cruise, Angkor Wat

The temples at Angkor Wat and Cambodia's capital city Phnom Penh provide a modern-ancient contrast for a 13-day tour that also features neighboring Vietnam and a cruise on the Lower Mekong River. The custom itinerary from Delaware-based Kensington Tours begins by exploring Hanoi in Vietnam and then flying to Siem Reap, the gateway to the 13th-century temples at Angkor Wat that was once the heart of the Khmer Empire.

From here, the cruise leaves from Tonle Sap Lake and begins seven days on the Mekong River with days spent stopping at big cities and small villages along the way. Guests learn about silk weaving, mat making, fish farming, floating markets and other cultural activities before the cruise ends at Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
When: The custom trip is offered weekly year-round. (Check Best Cruises' website for upcoming dates.)

Price: Starting at $3,306 per person, double occupancy. It includes lodgings, ground transportation, flight from Vietnam to Cambodia, the river cruise aboard La Margueritecruise / Amalotus Cruise tours and guides, activities and some meals. International airfare to and from Vietnam is extra.

We spent 4 days Laos Private Tours one week ago, this could be the most memorable trip we’ve ever had. The tour guide was very nice with his friendly attitude all the journey. We don’t really know about other places in Laos but Laos Tours is really an amazing city. It was not because of something so impressive but the marvelous monuments and temples, the unique theme of a Buddhism country and the peaceful and unspoiled environment here. We are not too young anymore but we could feel that the energy just flowed into our body. We climbed up to the top of Mount Phousi. Can you believe that? The people hope that Buddha would protect them so stupas and temples are built everywhere and all are well preserved. We cannot say all about the places and joy we had in those 4 sweet days in Laos, but we can make sure that you’ll feel the same when visiting this beautiful country!
